The deprotected piperidine 1.1 g (5.6 mmol), EDCl hydrochloride (1.6 g), HOBT (1.2 g), diisoproplyethylamine (1.8 g), and 4,6-dimethyl-3-pyrimidine carboxylic acid (1.1 g) were taken up in CH2Cl2 and stirred at rt for 16 h. Filtration through Celite and concentration gave 0.94 g (51%) of amide as a foam.
