To a solution of 3-amino-5-isoproxypyrazole (1.75 g, 12.41 mmol) in THF (20 ml) was added triethylamine (1.51 g, 14.89 mmol) and then slowly a solution of 2,4,6-trichloro-5- fluoropyrimidine (WO200549033, 2.50 g, 12.41 mmol) in THF (20 ml) at 0 0C. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue was diluted with EtOAc. The solution was then washed with brine twice.
