After being cooled to room temperature, the reaction was filtered through a plug of Celite, the filtrate was diluted with water and extracted twice with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layers were washed with brine, solvent was removed and the residue was purified by silica gel chromatography furnishing the desired compound as a pale yellow solid (216 mg, 80 %). 1H-RMN (200 MHz, CDCl3) : 1.13 (s, 9H); 1.26 (s, 9H); 3.62 (m, 2H); 4.00 (s, 3H); 4.63 (m, 2H); 6.81-7.18 (m, 4H), 7.43 (m, 3H); 8.23 (d, J = 8.0 Hz, 2H); 9.01 (s, 2H) ppm.
