The crude 7-bromo-4-chloropyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine (0.46 g, 1.89 mmol, 42% yield) was used without further purification. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CHLOROFORM-d) delta ppm 8.59 (d, J=1.96 Hz, 1H) 9.11-9.15 (m, 2H). LC/MS (ESI+) m/z=243.8 (M+H).
