Subsequently the reaction mixture is cooled by using an ice- water mixture to a temperature between 0 and 10 C and at the same temperature, 5.80 ml (17.44 mmol) of 3.0 M hydrochloric acid solution are added thereto dropwise and the stirring is continued for a further 10 minutes. The reaction mixture is evaporated and the residue is extracted with 80 ml of water and 80 ml of ethylacetate.
