Comparison of susceptibilities of varicella-zoster virus and herpes simplex viruses to nucleoside analogs was written by Machida, Haruhiko. And the article was included in Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy on March 31,1986.SDS of cas: 69256-17-3 The following contents are mentioned in the article:
The susceptibilities of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) and herpes simplex virus type-1 (HSV-1) and type-2 (HSV-2) to 17 nucleoside analogs were compared by a plaque-reduction assay with human embryonic lung fibroblast cells. The susceptibility of VZV to certain nucleoside analogs was different from that of HSV-1. Against VZV, the 5-halovinyl-arabinosyluracils were the most potent of the compounds tested. This study involved multiple reactions and reactants, such as 1-((2R,3S,4R,5R)-3-Fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)-5-methylpyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione (cas: 69256-17-3SDS of cas: 69256-17-3).
1-((2R,3S,4R,5R)-3-Fluoro-4-hydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)tetrahydrofuran-2-yl)-5-methylpyrimidine-2,4(1H,3H)-dione (cas: 69256-17-3) belongs to pyrimidine derivatives. The aromatic compound pyrimidine, and its derivatives, are ubiquitous in nature. They are found in nucleic acids, vitamins, amino acids, antibiotics, alkaloids, and a variety of toxins. For example, the neurotoxin tetrodotoxin is a pyrimidine derivative. It is found in a number of species including the Japanese puffer fish, the blue-ringed octopus, and the orange-bellied newt. Tetrodotoxin prevents the transmission of nerve signals and can result in paralysis and death.SDS of cas: 69256-17-3
