The organic layer was washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was recrystallized from petroleum ether to afford compound C60 as a white solid. Yield: 27.9 g, 0.22 mol, 75%. LCMS m/z 129.3 (M+1). 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) delta 2.25 (s, 3H), 8.40 (5, 2H).
