After stirring ca. 25 min ammonia (0.5 M in 1,4-dioxane, 72 mL, 36 mmol) was added and the reaction stirred overnight. The following morning the reaction was diluted with water to a total volume of 500 mL and the desired product collected by filtration affording 3.62g (74%) of a light-beige solid. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 400 MHz): delta 9.30 (d, IH), 8.54 (s, IH), 8.15 (d, IH), 8.09 (s, IH), 7.74 (d, IH), 7.64 (m, 2H), 7.51 (t, IH), 3.77 (m, IH), 1.79 (m, 2H), 1.74 (m, 2H), 1.53 (m, IH), 1.41 (m, IH).
