General procedure: 0.5 mmol of alloxan monohydrate (0.08 g) and suitable methyl ketone were suspended in 5 mL of glacial acetic acid and reacted in a Syncore apparatus set at the temperature of 115 C, shaking at 120 rpm and reaction time 3 h. All the targeted compounds precipitated after cooling and were recrystallized from ethanol.
