It was then cooled to room temperature, diluted with EtOAc, washed with aqueous NaHCO3 and dried over Na2SO4. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel flash chromatography (0 to 60% EtOAc in hexanes) to afford methyl 2-[3-(7-chloro-1H-indol-4-yl)-2-(2,6-diethylphenyl)-6,7- dihydro-4H-pyrazolo[4,3-c]pyridin-5-yl]pyrimidine-5-carboxylate .
