Chem. 20:829, 1955) starting from 2,4-dihydroxypyrimidine-5-carboxylic acid. The compound was obtained by distillation; b.p. 90-100 C. (1.5 mm/Hg) in a yield of 46%; 1 H-NMR (CDCl3) delta 9.29.
