Pyrimidine is an aromatic heterocyclic organic compound similar to pyridine. 109-12-6, formula is C4H5N3, Name is Pyrimidin-2-amine. In nucleic acids, three types of nucleobases are pyrimidine derivatives: cytosine (C), thymine (T), and uracil (U). Application In Synthesis of 109-12-6.
Weig, Alexander W.;Barlock, Samantha L.;O’Connor, Patrick M.;Marciano, Orry M.;Smith, Richard;Ernst, Robert K.;Melander, Roberta J.;Melander, Christian research published 《 A scaffold hopping strategy to generate new aryl-2-amino pyrimidine MRSA biofilm inhibitors》, the research content is summarized as follows. Infections that stem from bacterial biofilms are difficult to eradicate. Within a biofilm state, bacteria are upwards of 1000-fold more resistant to conventional antibiotics, necessitating the development of alternative approaches to treat biofilm-based infections. One such approach is the development of small mol. adjuvants that can inhibit/disrupt bacterial biofilms. When such mols. are paired with conventional antibiotics, these dual treatments present a combination approach to eradicate biofilm-based infections. Previously, we have demonstrated that small mols. containing either a 2-amino pyrimidine (2-AP) or a 2-aminoimidazole (2-AI) heterocycle are potent anti-biofilm agents. Herein, we now report a scaffold hopping strategy to generate new aryl 2-AP analogs that inhibit biofilm formation by methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). These mols. also suppress colistin resistance in colistin resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae, lowering the min. inhibitory concentration (MIC) by 32-fold.
Application In Synthesis of 109-12-6, 2-Aminopyrimidine is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C4H5N3 and its molecular weight is 95.1 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
2-Aminopyrimidine is an organic compound that belongs to the group of pyridines. It has been shown to have antimicrobial, antitumor, and antiviral properties. 2-Aminopyrimidine has been used as a fungicide and herbicide in horticulture and agriculture, respectively. The molecular geometry of this molecule is octahedral with coordination geometry C2v. This chemical binds to the BCR-ABL kinase receptor and inhibits its activity by competitive inhibition of ATP binding. 2-Aminopyrimidine has been shown to have a hematologic response in vivo models and in vitro assays. It also has anti-inflammatory effects when it is taken orally or applied topically., 109-12-6.
